Ladders 是一套在美国本土学校或者国际学校里常用的学科配套读物，覆盖了其中三门学科：
Language Arts 语文
Science 科学
Social Studies 社科
这套书在难度上分为三个等级，覆盖国内大多数初中生（甚至高中生）的阅读进程（如果孩子英文学习起步早，从小学中高年级开始读也是合适的）：
L1(G3)：兰斯400L-890L左右，推荐5-7年级孩子；
L2(G4)：兰斯470L-980L左右，推荐6-8年级孩子；
L3(G5)：兰斯630L-1040L左右，推荐7-9年级孩子；
这套书作为美国孩子的配套课外读物，每个主题的书目用3种语言难度来编写：Below-Level（一般水平），On-Level（平均水平），Above-Level（优秀水平）。
